# History Arcas began **24/06/2021** as Block Ape Scissors. The Block Ape Scissors token was launched alongside it on Binance Smart Chain representing the our Gaming Studio. All liquidity was migrated to our new token called **ARCAS** and all token holders above 100 tokens (1.8usd at the time) were airdropped the same amount of ARCAS. On the **24/06/2024** we retired the Block Ape Scissors brand and rebranded the Gaming Studio to Galea Games and our ecosystem to Arcas Games.
